Young Members Committee
Purpose
A Young Member's Subcommittee of the NCSD will provide a mechanism for 'early career' individuals to network within the NCS community. This subcommittee will focus on items that 'early career' individuals are experiencing or express interest in. This allows for a peer-to-peer structure to promote open communication and building relationships within the NCS community.
Responsibilities
The Young Members Committee is responsible for the following:
- Communicating with young members or 'early career' individuals in the NCSD.
- Voicing the concerns of young members to the NCSD Executive Committee.
- Professional development for young members.
- Identifying training opportunities for young members.
- Sharing lessons learned with young members.
Membership
Composed of not fewer than four (4) members including the Liaison with the Young Member Group and the Vice-Chair. The Chair is appointed by the Division Chair for a term of four (4) years.
